Acupressure and Veterans

Acupressure is a type of complementary and alternative medicine that uses only the tips of the fingers to make contact with certain points on the body. Acupressure has been shown to enhance the relaxation response in some studies. To read more about these studies, visit http://www.colorado.edu/news/releases/2011/02/28/new-cu-study-shows-acupressure-effective-helping-treat-traumatic-brain.

The CAIRR Neuroscience Laboratory is seeking Veterans to volunteer for a research study to look at the effects of Acupressure Self-Administration Proficiency (ASAP) Education. Eligible participants will receive free materials and class instruction on ASAP.

If you would like more information on participating in the ASAP research study, please contact Joni Masse at (941) 374-0965 or the CAIRR Neuroscience Lab at (303) 492-6273.
